Together they discuss the electrification of heat and what barriers are ahead in order to increase the use of electric solutions in homes and buildings across the UK. The podcast discusses the challenges to increase the deployment of heat pumps and how government commitment is vital in improving this. The importance of low carbon systems such as heat pumps will play a huge role on the path to net zero. Consumer perception and awareness of low carbon solutions need to evolve as fossil fuel heating starts to be eliminated in new build properties over the coming years.
