Kensa and GTC have announced the largest UK agreement between a utility infrastructure provider and a ground source heat pump manufacturer. This partnership aims to deliver Networked Ground Source Heat Pump solutions to tens of thousands of new build homes each year, assisting developers and housebuilders in transitioning to clean, cost-effective heating and cooling in compliance with Future Homes Standards, which mandate the cessation of new gas connections.

This collaboration brings to market a complete end-to-end heating, hot water, and cooling solution. Ground source heat pumps, being up to five times more efficient than gas and space-efficient with no need for an outside unit, represent a significant upgrade.

GTC, the UK’s largest installer and operator of last-mile multi-utility networks, and The Kensa Group, the UK’s leading manufacturer and installer of award-winning ground source heat pumps, will provide a low-cost, renewable heating and cooling solution through the Networked Ground Source Heat Pump system. This system offers a clean, reliable alternative to gas by utilizing a network of hidden underground pipework for home heating and hot water.
